The student must have the basic knowledge of private law.
The educational objective for the student is to achieve the following learning outcomes: - Knowledge and understanding. The course aims to impart the main notions of economic innovation law, with particular regard to the technological market of financial services. - Ability to apply knowledge and understanding. At the end of the course the student must have acquired the knowledge of the main legislative texts on the subject and be able to apply them in specific cases.
The course is divided into two modules. The first is dedicated to the study of the main profiles of economic innovation law. The second is concerned with the technological market of financial services.
Module I) The law of economic innovation and the technological market of financial services. The different regulatory and supervisory approaches. The main regulatory sources. The platforms: functions, opportunities and risks. Big Data. The impact of big data on financial services. The protection of personal data. The profiles of competition. The transparency and the information in the financial sector according to the Big Data concept. Module II) Investment services and technological innovation: the robo-advice. The use of technologies for business financing: the equity-based crowdfunding. The peer to peer (or lending) crowdfunding. Payment services and technological innovation. Complementary coins and cripto-coins. The Blockchain. The Distributed Ledger Technology. The cybersecurity and the anti-money laundering.

Frontal lessons.
- Knowledge and understanding. The exam consists of one or more preliminary and optional written tests and a final interview. The final evaluation, expressed in thirtieths, takes into account both the preliminary written tests (which are not compulsory) and the final interview. - Ability to apply knowledge and understanding. In the exam, the student must demonstrate that he has acquired the main concepts and legal rules of the subject and is able to use them in solving concrete problems.
