Objectives

Learn about the basic elements of descriptive, analytical and evaluative epidemiology; Learn and be able to use the main measures of disease frequency and exposure to risk factors and protective factors; Learn about and be able to use the main measures of disease risk.
Learn about the principles of organization and national and regional health planning.

Contents

The course aims to provide:
- the basic knowledge of epidemiology for the analysis and understanding of the health problems of populations;
- concepts on the operational structures of the National Health Service, of the Local Health Authorities
and health planning.

Teaching Methods

The course is taught by lectures based on the didactic calendar. The lectures include a strong interactive component between lecturer and students.
Attendance is mandatory.

Verification of learning:

Oral exam: the student will have to demonstrate his / her preparation by dealing in a clear and organized manner with the topics requested by the teacher.
Evaluation will be carried out by using marks out of thirtieths
