Objectives
Contents Interaction between environmental aspects and economic activities. Sustainability in business management. The environment: from constraints to opportunities. The main models of EMS. Implementation of the Environmental Management System and related tools and methodologies (initial environmental analysis, environmental performance indicators).
EMS control tools. Social sustainability management of processes, products and services: SA 8000, BS PAS 99, ISO 26000, S-LCA. Sustainable production and consumption: environmental labels in accordance with the ISO 14020 standards, green procurement, Life Cycle Thinking and Footprinting.

Teaching Methods Lectures (of 2 hours, following the academic calendar) and active teaching methods: assignments, group and individual working, seminars held by experts
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
The preparation of the students will be verified via an oral exam. The total points (max 30) will be subdivided based on the questions for their importance and extension.
