Objectives
Contents Extreme geological events include impact cratering, explosive volcanic eruptions, large-scale landslides, catastrophic flooding, tsunami, etc. Many of such extreme events, both recent and those in geological records, are known on Earth and other planetary bodies in the Solar System. The course consists of review of these processes, and opportunity to discuss their importance in geology and also impact on environment and humans.
