After a brief introduction to probability theory, more advanced topics such as Markov chains and multivariate normal distributions will be discussed. The students will understand the notion of a stochastic process and Markov chain, and be able to use the notion of characteristic function. Moreover, the students will be able to formalize certain problems and use theoretic notion in problem solving.
