Prerequisites:

Good knowledge of the chemical, mineralogical and petrographic disciplines.

Objectives

Provide a complete overview of the various types of georisources present in nature, their retrieval and possibility of application.
Detail the various characterization methodologies.
Indicate the mineral synthesis methodologies useful from georisources in environmental and non environmental conditions. Quantification of mineralogical phases in synthetic products.

GEORESOURCES AND Industrial Minerals :
-Clays (caolin and ceramic materials)
-Minerals for agriculture and chemical industry
-Raw materials for glass industry
-Tripoli, microcristalline silica and diatoms
-Calcium silicates and feldspathoids for industrial and medical uses
- Industrial cements
-Zeolites (deposits, synthesis and uses)
-Pigments
CHARACTERIZATION OF geomaterialS
Characterizations (spectroscopic, chemical, morphological, physics, thermal analyses etc).
Behaviour in room and experimental conditions.
Rietveld method -QPA (Quantitative Phase Analysis) and RIR (Reference Intensity Ratio)
