It's mandatory to pass all the exams of the first and the second year of the course and also the respective internship.
Objectives
Contents Know the fundamentals of the clinical framework in the pathologies most frequently encountered in emergency surgery and trauma; be able to operationally insert themselves into the protocols of the Trauma Team and know the main instrumental and laboratory diagnostic methods in use in emergencies and urgencies. It will also address issues of general interest, such as the principles of surgery, the rules of disinfection and asepsis, the operating room, new robotic technologies and the concepts of "fast track surgery".
Extended Syllabus Clinical manifestations in the main surgical emergencies; instrumental and laboratory diagnostics in surgical and traumatic emergencies. Polytrauma, primary and secondary evaluation; assistance and advanced support of vital functions (ALS) in emergency-urgency; the main syndromes in surgical emergencies: hemorrhages, wounds, acute abdomen, chest trauma, limb injuries and crush syndrome; also principles of general surgery, inflammation, inflammation, the rules of disinfection and asepsis, the operating room, abdominal pathologies of surgical interest, new robotic technologies and the concepts of "fast track surgery".

Teaching Methods The course will be held through interactive lectures with the aid of iconographic material in Power Point files for a total about 15 hours.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
The assessment method consists of an oral exam. The evaluation is expressed in thirtieths, the exam is passed if the evaluation is equal or superior to eighteen/thirty (18/30). In determining the order in which the students are to be examined, the specific needs of working students will be specifically considered.
