Objectives

The present course is in line with the more general framework of the Degree in and it aims at giving students the right psycho-social point of view by which observing different organizational and occupational settings, in order to be able to operate within HR divisions of both Public and private organizations.
. The specific aims are:
-introducing main theories of personnel psychology
-showing the main models and tools of psychological interventions in organizations
-analysing the main variables that impact HR management, with a particular attention to personnel selection.
- introducing some tools for selecting and managing HRs, in order to develop also a practical knowledge.

Teaching Methods

This is a 64 taught class, divided into 2-3 hours lessons, depending on the academic calendar. There will be space for both theoretical and practical lessons, including case analysis, with a mix of different didactic tools, in line with the blended learning approach.
There will be also the possibility to assess students' learning with practical group training sessions related to the different theoretical themes under analysis.
Even if not compulsory, attending is suggested.

Evaluation methods

Verification of learning:

Written test with open and closed questions and a power point presentation.
The written exam consists in the verification by the teacher of the acquired knowledge and their understanding and critical integration, in line with the educational objectives.
In addition it is planned
the presentation to the public (teacher and colleagues present in the classroom) of a critical presentation by the student (with the support of a presentation in PowerPoint or similar programs, maximum 8 slides), of an in-depth study concerning the applicative part.
The final grade will be calculated as follows:
80% written part, 20% Presentation to the public.
