Basic properties of matrices. Trigonometry. Basic concepts of analytic geometry. Differential and integral calculus for functions of one variable.
Practical mastery and theoretical knowledge of tools needed for the study differential and integral calculus for functions of several variables, that enable students to directly face and understand some mathematical aspects of economic theories and to provide them with the basis for further insight of mathematical and statistical nature for the analysis of economic and financial processes.
Complements of geometry and linear algebra and applications. Differential equations.
Linear analytical geometry in space. Vector spaces and linear transformations. Eigenvectors, eigenvalues and diagonalization. Quadratic forms. Some first and second order differential equations and differential forms.

The course consists of approximately 24 hours of lectures. A part of the lessons will be devoted to the solutions of problems and exercises assigned to the students to allow them to verify the practical and theoretical knowledge acquired and to prepare them for the exam.
Written and oral exam. The exam aims at verifying both the acquisition of practical skills for the solution of problems and exercises and the mastery of the mathematical language related to the topics developed and the theoretical knowledge necessary for practical applications.
During the course the office hours for students takes place with a timetable set at the beginning of the course. Alternatively students can make an appointment via e-mail: flavia.antonacci@unich.it.
