Objectives

This module which contains the lectures on Nursing in the Critical Area and First Aid, aims to convey to students the fundamental principles of nursing care for the critical patient. At the end of the lessons, each student must be able to make correct nursing assessments using the scientific method of problem solving concerning the main diseases that expose the patient to imminent risk of death.

- know the specific healthcare features of critical area structures;
- manage patient care in critical areas;
- know the legal-legislative problems relating to the critical area;
- evaluate the needs of the patient at risk of survival and manage him both independently and in
interdisciplinary collaboration;
- establish an informative relationship with the family members of the patient at risk of survival.
