The pedagogical skills of those who professionally deal with gaming and sport will be highlighted.

Expected learning outcomes:
At the end of the course the student must:
- Know the fundamentals of sports pedagogy
- Know the main educational models in their historical development and in their actualization
- Knowing how to develop relational educational practices in the sports field
- Know the role and functions of the educator and professional of motor and sports activities
- Knowing how to navigate the system of sports organizations and the sports industry, even with an international approach
- Know the evolution of professional opportunities provided in sport
- Know the role of educator within public and private training agencies.

Contents

The course aims to offer basic pedagogical knowledge, related to cultural and educational models applied to motor and sports activities, which concern the multiple expressions of play and sport, seen as fields of training experience. The pedagogical aspects are addressed in relation to the motor and sports disciplines to provide the cultural basis of the professional profiles expected at the exit, also in the context of public and private training agencies.
The theoretical basis will therefore be provided on the main cognitive functions and on individual and group dynamics in relation to sports practice, on the mechanisms of learning and behavior in different ages of life up to the development of relational educational practices.

The student will acquire the tools relating to individual and group educational and didactic needs in the educational-sporting context and the mechanisms underlying the motivations for individual and group sporting practice.
The course aims to offer students the theoretical and operational tools useful for dealing in an aware and effective way with the links between the training system and sports practice, even in special contexts. Specifically, we want to highlight the formative and educational value of sporting activity starting from the epistemological foundations of the pedagogy of the body to arrive at the educational models and the individualization of training interventions, albeit in the light of the innovations proposed at European level. In addition, the field of prevention will be explored for the knowledge relating to maintaining the best physical efficiency and well-being determined by the value of sport.

Teaching Methods

The course includes lectures, case studies and open lessons also remotely.
The lessons include the use of multimedia, audiovisual material and research work in small groups.
Interactivity and involvement in thematic discussions by students is also required.

Evaluation methods

Verification of learning:

The "Pedagogy of Sport" exam (one of the three courses of PSYCHO-SOCIAL BASES AND PEDAGOGY OF SPORT) will be a multiple-choice test.
The test will be aimed at verifying the learning process, the property of language, and the ability to interpret, synthesize, and analyze pedagogical phenomena. The test will be modulated on a battery of 10 questions of equal weight for a maximum total time of 10 minutes: the questions will concern the various thematic areas of the program. The score of the written test is calculated taking into account only the correct answers (1 point for each correct answer). The written test will be considered passed if the grade is at least 6/10.
To achieve the passing of PSYCHO-SOCIAL BASES AND PEDAGOGY OF SPORT, the candidate must obtain a score of at least 6/10 in each individual exam taken for each of the three modules. Once the three courses have been passed, the overall mark of the PSYCHO-SOCIAL BASES AND PEDAGOGY OF SPORT course will be calculated by adding the scores obtained to the individual modules.
