Prerequisites:

- Basic knowledge in clinical psychology, psychopathology and psychometrics.

Objectives

- The lab aims to deepen the fundamentals of testing and assessment, enabling the student capable of evaluating personality measurement tools.

Contents

During the lab the following topics will be deepened:
- Foundations, history and ethical implications of the psychological assessment and evaluation process;
- Methodological and psychometric aspects of testing;
- Personality assessment through self-report and clinician-report tools.

Extended Syllabus

The course will focus on the following topics:
- The personality assessment and psychological evaluation process;
- Fundamentals of psychometrics for psychodiagnosis;
- Personality assessment with the MMPI-2 and the SWAP-200 (administration, scoring and interpretation).

Evaluation methods

Verification of learning:

- Attending students will be asked to write a report on the exercises carried out during the lessons in class.
- Not-attending students will have to take an oral interview on the topics explained in the main book.
