Extended Syllabus - Anatomy and physiology of the organs appointed of respiration, phonation and swallowing (nose, nosepharynx, paranasal sinuses, lips, oral cavity, oropharynx, hypopharynx, larynx, trachea, esophagus, lungs, respiratory muscles).
- General concepts on head and neck malignant tumors (histology, aggressiveness, ways of spreading, reconstructive techniques).
- Direct and indirect laryngoscopy.
- Rigid and flexible endoscopy of the upper aero-digestive tract.
- (General concepts) Malignant tumors of: lip, oral cavity (hard palate, tongue, oral floors), upper maxillary bone, oropharynx, larynx, hypopharynx.
- Laryngeal paralysis (Pathology of the upper and recurrent laryngeal nerves. Mono/bilateral
Peripheric/Central.
- Benign laryngeal pathology (Nodules, polyps, papillomas, edemos).
- Anatomy of the ear and different types of hypoacusia.
