2)Terrigenous siliciclastic rocks: grain size-based classification, main compositional features; classification of rudites, arenites and pelites;
3) Carbonate rocks: main textural and compositional features; Folk and Dunham classifications; recognition and classification of dolostones and travertines;
4) Recognition and classification of evaporitic rocks;
5) Recognition and classification of siliceous, residuals, hydrocarbon and coal rocks.
SECOND PART: magmatic and metamorphic rocks
6) Recognition and classification of plutonic (intrusive) rocks: texture and structure; basic classification of magmatic rocks; preliminary QAPF classification of plutonic rocks for field use;
7) Recognition and classification of volcanic (extrusive) rocks: texture and structure; basic principles for classification of volcanic rocks; classification of pyroclastic rocks;
8) Recognition and classification of metamorphic rocks: texture and structure; basic classification of metamorphic rocks based on SCMR-IUGS.
