MOLECULAR GENETICS
The objective of this course is to give the student the necessary basis forunderstand the role of genetics in hereditary diseases and molecular biology techniques used in the study of the genome and transcriptome and pharmacogenetics.
The course on Molecular Genetics will deal with topics focused on the study of the genetic basis of the normal and pathological human characters. Topics such as the genetics of congenital diseases, genetics of cancer, genetics of common diseases, reproduction, prenatal diagnosis, neonatal screening will be analyzed. Particular interest will be devoted to molecular biology techniques used in the study of the genome and transcriptome and pharmacogenetics.
