Objectives
Contents The course aims to introduce the student to the understanding of the mechanisms that underlie cellular activities, the functioning of the organism through reproduction, its defenses and its relations with the environment. Students will also be able to learn how neurons work, also in relation to mental activities. The course also aims to raise awareness of evolutionary theories in the light of new knowledge.

Teaching Methods
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
The exam will consist of a written test with multiple choice tests. The grade can be improved with an oral interview with the teacher aimed at assessing the knowledge and understanding of the topics covered during the course.
The vote is expressed out of thirty. If the mark of 18/30 in the written test is not achieved, the student must proceed to the oral interview to pass the exam.
Contacts/More Information At the end of the course the teaching slides will be available.
