Extended Syllabus MODULE 1 – ENGINEERING GEOLOGY
General criteria and considerations on the objectives and goals of the subsoil exploration and methodological approaches to the main problems of Engineering Geology;
- The geognostic and subsoil data collection; interpretation and presentation of geological and technical data.
- The planning and execution of geophysical and geotechnical surveys as part of the main issues of Engineering Geology (Civil engineering, Landslides, Landfills, soils seismic characterization).
- The dynamic characterization of soils: techniques, limitations and applicability in studies of evaluation of local seismic response.
- Key aspects of legislation about Seismic soils characterization.
MODULE 2: APPLIED AND ENVIRONMENTAL HYDROGEOLOGY
- Review of Elements of Hydrogeology.
- Use of tracers in hydrogeology.
- Hydrodynamic of Wells:
Steady state (Dupuit theory).
