Objectives

The aim of the course is to know the most common pathologies of a Surgical unit.

Contents

Surgery course includes gastro-enteric, hepatic, pancreatic diseases and surgical treatment, pulmonary diseases and surgical treatment, skin lesions, inflammation and infection.

Extended Syllabus

General principles of surgery. The surgical Unit. Operating theatre.
Asepsis. The surgeon and the patient. Surgical devices. Hemostasis. Medication.
Inflammation. Infection. Local infection. Generalized infection.
Skin lesions. Contusions. Wounds. Burn. Pressure lesions.
Anatomy, physiology, pathology and surgical treatment of gastrointestinal, hepatic, pancreatic, pulmonary diseases.
