Prerequisites:
Students will be expected to have an adequate knowledge of the history of philosophy and especially of the themes of twentieth-century philosophy.
Objectives
Contents Phenomenology and social ontology. Social acts and expressions.
The intention of the course is to describe a type of "social act" also called "act of engagement". The aim is to unveil and delimit these acts of engagement in Husserl's attempt to define and establish de facto social acts as such. The parallel tasks would be: to show the importance of social acts in the structuring of some kind of new entity; to distinguish social acts as clearly as possible from empathy; to name some social acts as "acts of engagement", thus clarifying Husserl's efforts during the determination of social acts; and to reassess Adolf Reinach's contribution to the definition of social acts with respect to Husserl.
