Contents The course aims to provide the necessary basis for achieving the strategic objectives of health promotion, paying particular attention to the problems present in every phase of human life.
The course is divided into 4 modules:

- The determinants of health (population, nutrition, environmental conditions, lifestyles)
- Objectives and methods of prevention (primary, secondary and tertiary prevention)

- Health education: definition; health education strategies; behavior and motivations; communication strategies.
- Health promotion in childhood and adolescence: Alcohol and drug addictions; mortality from road accidents; Epilepsy; Autism; Down Syndrome.

Methodology of the profession of health assistant in the field of health promotion:
teaching material presented in class and provided by the teacher
Methods of Provision
Teaching Methods The course is structured in lectures of 2 or 3 hours based on the didactic calendar. The lessons include a strong interactive component between lecturer and students.
Attendance is mandatory.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
Written exam: the exam consists of a written test in which the student will have to answer multiple choice questions or open questions. The multiple choice questions require a single correct answer and the test will be considered passed if the student has achieved a sufficient evaluation.
The evaluation will be carried out using marks out of thirty.
