Objectives

To acquire a comon vocabulary that allows students to interact with profesionality involved in patient care.
To understand and to recognize risk factors.
Recognize the symptoms of the main internal diseases of interest and learn about the main prevention strategies.

Contents

Basic concept of general medicine concerning the main acute and chronic diseases.

Extended Syllabus

Risk factors, definition, type and prevention strategies (smoking habit, being drinking diet etc.)
Clinical signs, basic concept of terapy of the following diseases:
Angina, Acute miocardial infarction, hypertension, stroke and syncope, Diabetes and Thyroide's diseases, COPD and Asthma.
