Contents The advanced topics in economic geography module will focus on reflections agreed with the professor on issues developed in the course of Economic Geography through the study of some current topics of the debate on economic development analyzed with a geographical research scheme

The advanced topics on economic geography module will focus on reflections agreed with the professor on issues developed in the course of Economic Geography through the study of some current topics of the debate on economic development analyzed with a geographical research scheme.
Each student will agree on their own program with the professor prior to the assignment of the research topic. The course aims to deepen some topics of the course of Economic Geography. In particular, we intend to focus on the relationship between economic geography and productive sectors in light of the most recent changes in paradigms and methodologies. It also proposes to students reflections on the relationship between geographical knowledge and information technologies.
The verification of the knowledge acquired through oral examination and support of individual written material (a project work of at least 30 pages).

Teaching Methods Students should contact the teacher to establish the topic of study. Once chosen the same, the professor will agree on the reference bibliography and will follow the student's research path. The research product will be a written project (a project work of at least 30 pages) which will be subjected to periodic review by the teacher before the final draft. Before the examination, the final text must be delivered to the teacher; it will be evaluated based on criteria of originality, applied techniques, clarity and consistency of the content. Finally, the oral discussion of the delivered text will evaluate the correctness of the exposition and the argumentative capacity of the student. The evaluation will therefore be based on the research product and its exposure, according to an evaluation graduated as per current legislation.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
Oral examination following the evaluation of individual writings, observing above all the characteristics of originality, innovation and accuracy of the text.
The expression is provided through marks expressed in thirtieths.
It is possible to pass the examination with honours.
