Objectives
Contents The laboratory is aimed at providing the methodological and operational
bases for the analysis and the implementation of collaborative strategies
for the synergic management of material and energy flows between
productive entities, commonly defined Industrial Symbiosis (IS). To this
end, the main approaches to the development of IS, the support tools and the most widespread modeling and representation software for
exchanges of material and energy flows will be illustrated with the aim of
developing "loop closing" and "input-output matching" soltutions.

Methods of Provision
Teaching Methods The course is structured in 54 hours of frontal teaching, divided into 2-
hours modules, according to the academic calendar. The frontal teaching
consists of theoretical lessons (lectures) and seminars held by business
experts on the topics covered.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
The final exam consists of an oral examination with an evaluation in
thirtieths. The object of examination reflect those treated during the
course. In order to pass the exam it is necessary a correct use of the
terminology and a clear and concise exposition that highlights the logical
connections between the aspects considered
