The course aims at providing the students with basic knowledge of modern foreign language teaching, with particular regard to methods, levels, approaches, techniques, skills and competences for learning and teaching foreign languages ​​at every school grade.
LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course aims at providing students with theoretical and methodological instruments for foreign language teachers in line with the European guidelines concerning language education.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: knowledge of the main approaches, methods and tools in language teaching as well as in Computer assisted language teaching.

ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: analyzing foreign language learning materials taking into account approaches, methods and tools; knowlwdge and use of the main CALL-tools.

MAKING JUDGMENTS: critically reflection on the different language teaching approaches, methods and tools.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: describing the main foreign language teaching approaches and methods taken in consideration during the course; CEFR and other european guidelines concerning language teaching.
