Extended Syllabus RADIOTHERAPY:
- Essential Terminology and Procedures of Oncological Radiotherapy;
- Diagnostic-Therapeutic Pathways in Oncological Radiotherapy; the management of the terminally ill cancer patient;
- Organizational Assistancy Models and Team Work: the radiotherapy folder; the management of nursing activities in Radiotherapy; the relationship with the patient;
- Radiotherapy and side effects;
- The Radiological Performances the departments involved (Radiology, Radiotherapy, Nuclear Medicine) and the different types of diagnostic examinations: X-rays, Ultrasound (radiofrequencies), CT, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (MRI / NMR), Scintigraphy, SPECT, PET.

- Physical Aspects: Basics of Physics of Ionizing Radiation. Sources. Sizes used in Radiation Protection. Notes on the penetration and absorption of ionizing radiation in the subject. Overview of shield design in the medical field.
- Essential legislation: legislation. Laws and Decrees. External radiation and internal radiation. Dose limits. Classification of exposed personnel. High energy radiation protection.
- Medical aspects: Overview of effects on humans. Health surveillance of exposed personnel. Medical record of exposed personnel.
- Operational aspects: Radiation protection in the use of radioisotopes in medicine. Personal protective equipment. Environmental dosimetry.
