Objectives
Contents Mechanics. Fluid statics and dynamics. Mechanical Waves. Electromagnetism.
Extended Syllabus Physical quantities and measurement units. Kinematics of point particle: displacement, velocity and acceleration. Rectilinear motion. Dynamics and Newton laws. Mass and weight. Friction. Work, energy and conservation laws. Moment of a force. Rigid body static equilibrium laws. Levers and applications to the human body. Elasticity and Hooke's law. Stress-deformation relationships. Fracture mechanisms.
Fluid in static and dynamic conditions. Density and pressure. Stevino, Pascal and Archimede laws. Bernoulli equation and its applications to the cardiovascular system. Venturi effect. Viscosity. Hydrodynamic resistance in the circulatory system.
The sound. Propagation of sound waves. Levels of sound sensation. Reception of elastic waves in biological systems. Ultrasound and their applications in medicine.

The verification of the students' preparation will be made through a written test on the themes of the entire program. The vote is expressed in thirtieths.
