Prerequisites:

The student must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to profitably follow the teaching. Therefore the student must have taken the exams following their propaedeutic nature (as per the regulation).

Objectives

At the end of the course the student will have to know the method for identifying the risks associated with the manual handling of loads. You will have to know the most suitable method and criterion to adopt for this assessment which is coherent with the environmental conditions. Produce organization and management models to reduce risk and how to proceed with the training and information of workers.

Contents

Title VI of Legislative Decree 81/08 and subsequent amendments.
Manual handling of loads.
Procedures for carrying out the risk assessment.

Extended Syllabus

Reading and argumentation of TITLE VI of the Legislative Decree of 04/09/2008 n.81;
- Elements of anatomy of the vertebral column and rachis;
- Definition and argumentation of biomechanics and biomechanical overload;
- Pathologies caused by incorrect handling of loads;
- Technical standards relating to the manual handling of loads (UNI EN 1005-2:2004 and ISO 11228
– 1/2/3:2022)
-NIOSH Method (Lifting and Lowering of Loads)
-SNOOK – CIRIELLO method (towing, pushing and carrying)
- CHECK - LIST OCHER index method (repetitive movements of the hand - shoulder segment)
- RULA method;
- JOB STRAIN INDEX method;
- ACGIH method;
- MAPI method:
- Exercise for the correct assessment of MMC risk.
