The Course aims to provide an introduction to social sustainability management from its definition to an in-depth look at management and assessment methods and tools.
LEARNING OUTCOMES EXPECTED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS UNDERSTANDING
After completing the course, students must be in possession of the knowledge for understanding:
the nature of social impacts and the main difficulties associated with them;
the role of system and product certifications in the management of social sustainability;
the methodologies for assessing social aspects and impacts in organisations and supply chains.
JUDGEMENT
After completing the course, students will be able to:
Identify/develop links between the various issues in the multidisciplinary perspective;
apply relevant knowledge to the identification of the main points of force and weakness related to the social sustainability.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
At the end of the course students will acquire an appropriate specific technical-scientific language relating to the management and assessment of social sustainability.
