Objectives
Contents Which Romanization? The phaenomenon of the Roman colonization through the centuries. Complex processes for building the empire, with its changes and adaptations. Issues of historical and geographic contextualization. Local indigenous and ‘Romanization’. Analysis of the Cultural and artistic phenomena in different areas, towns and territories of the roman Empire. Roman coins and the conquest of the Empire. The limes: boundary or connective network?

- The phases of the romanization. But which Romanization?
- Cultural and artistic expressions of the romanization in central and northern Italy and Adriatic context.
- Roman conquest of Magna Graecia and Sicily and Hellenization of Rome.
- Rome and Cartago. The Punic Wars and the birth of the earlier provinces.

- Oriental provinces between interaction and hybridization
