The Degree Program in Economics and Management aims to provide a solid grounding in Business, Economics, quantitative and Legal disciplines in order to ensure mastery of all issues concerning business functions (organization, strategic planning, planning and control, administration, marketing, production, financial markets and corporate finance) for all types of companies (commercial, services, public administration). It is therefore aimed at training professionals capable of understanding and interpreting the changes taking place within the national and international economic system and translating them into strategic competitive factors, as required by the increasing globalization process.The teachings of the first three semesters aim to offer students a common set of essential concepts, methodologies and notions and cover the Business, Economic, Mathematical-Statistical and Legal fields.During the last three semesters, students will attend courses that aim to deepen the issues of management (from strategy, to production and marketing), business organizations from the accounting point of view. They will study issues related to the operation financial markets and financial management. The study plan also includes English language courses, in-depth study of the quantitative disciplines through the use of spreadsheets and training internships.The organization of the courses and the contents are aimed at ensuring an effective integration in the entrepreneurial realities of the territory with a level of knowledge and skills suitable for interpreting the main needs of business management.At the end of the course, the graduates in Economics and Management will possess an adequate knowledge of the main investigation methods of Sciences of Economics and Business Management. They will be able to acquire the fundamental information to interpret and analyse economic phenomena and apply the main tools for business management. They will have acquired advanced professional skills to perform specific business functions or carry out activities in specific sectors (manufacturing, sales, services, financial intermediation, public administration).The skills acquired in this way characterize a suitable professional figure who will be able to carry out operational functions within the company at a managerial and external consulting level.The course, within the time period envisaged for the attainment of the degree, is developed in semesters, during which basic and characteristic teachings are given, allowing the acquisition of knowledge and skills in the business environment (accounting, management control, marketing, finance, organization corporate, strategic management), legal (both in the field of private and commercial laws), economics and political economy, quantitative (mathematical-statistical) as well as teachings in the psycho-sociological area that contribute to providing the student with a systemic and motivational vision of the context in which companies operate.The study plan also includes an English language course and internship activity.At the end of the training the graduate in Economics and Management:- possesses adequate basic knowledge of mathematics and statistics, political economy, accounting and business economics, law;- has acquired the main investigation methods of economics and business management sciences;- is able to acquire the fundamental information in order to interpret economic phenomena and to analyse business phenomena;- is able to apply the main tools for company management and has advanced professional skills to perform specific business functions or to carry out activities in specific sectors (manufacturing, sales, services, financial intermediation, public administration)- possess the basic cognitive tools for the development and updating of the acquired knowledge.
