Contents The course introduces the student to the fundamental theories of the international economy from the least recent to the most recent ones based on increasing returns and non-competitive market forms. Topics such as: globalization of markets, significant economic growth in emerging countries are addressed; the interventions of international institutions to liberalize international trade and reduce market protectionism.

Teaching Methods Lectures and exercises also with the use of Power Point slides, which are then made available to students, who can download them in pdf format from the teaching page.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
The learning assessment is carried out with a written and / or oral exam with a grade expressed in thirtieths. Partial tests are scheduled during the semester of the lessons.
The written tests consist of open questions on the topics covered in class.
