It is desirable that the student has preliminary knowledge of microeconomics and macroeconomics. However, the prerequisites for these disciplines are not required.
Objectives
Contents The first part of the course will be dedicated to the analysis of the supply and demand of the main financial activities with a high degree of liquidity. Particular importance will be given to the markets of the monetary base and the currency.
The second part of the course deals with the question of the effects that financial market movements may have on typically macroeconomic variables such as unemployment and inflation. The final part of the course will be dedicated to the analysis of financial crises.

Methods of Provision
Teaching Methods The teaching activity will be delivered through meetings lasting two hours for a total amount of 72 hours. The meetings will mainly consist of lectures by the teacher aimed at achieving the educational objectives of the course. Educational activities can also be carried out through seminars held by experts, group work or laboratory experiences.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
Students' preparation will be verified by written exam consisting of open questions with predefined response space and multiple choice questions. The final mark will be expressed in thirtieths. The duration of the written test is 1 hour. The topics under examination will reflect those dealt with during the course and present in the program.
