Objectives

- Basic concepts in the addictions field; risk and protective factors for addiction; developmental trajectories of addictive behaviors; psychological models of help and treatment programs.
- Overview of gambling behaviors; gambling and psychopathology; multidimensional assessment; etiopathogenic model of gambling disorder; current and future direction for research.
- Acquisition of competencies necessary for working with addicted adults and adolescents both in individual and group settings. Notes on intervention in structural contexts such as SerD, therapeutic community, psychotherapy.
