This course is aimed at absolute beginners. This allows students to participate without necessarily having prerequisites.
Objectives
Contents The topics covered belong to different areas: the linguistic and the cultural one. The topics covered in the linguistic field will be: Grammar, Lexis and Morphosyntax. For the cultural sphere, general cultural topics (Spanish and Latin American) and sector-specific topics will be covered. The textual material will be authentic and chosen from newspapers, magazines and texts in general.

Recommended Bibliography The course does not include a textbook. During the lessons, useful material will be provided for language learning, conversation and for independent task achievement, with online keys. However, the reading and consultation of printed and online newspapers ("El País": https://elpais.com "El Mundo" https://www.elmundo.es "El Financiero" http://www.elfinanciero.com.mx ) and sector-specific texts on economics, at the level appropriate to the target level of the course, is encouraged

Methods of Provision
Teaching Methods The lessons will be mostly teacher-centered. Other methods will be adopted to respond more adequately to the typical characteristic of language learning: communication. Some methods may be, for example, group work, dramatization, research to encourage the active role of students.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
Oral exam. The candidate prepares 5 texts of his or her choice in Spanish (e.g. newspaper articles). Oral exam in Spanish, knowledge of vocabulary, grammar rules, phonetics of the 5 texts. Personal presentation (use of verbal tenses, and modes explained in class; vocabulary fields like family, transport, time, date).
