EDUCATIONAL TARGETS
The course aims to provide students with basic knowledge about the origins and historical developments of the technological and scientific revolution that has represented the greatest modern factor of economic and social growth and that has produced what is termed the "knowledge economy".
In the positive sense, we study the production of economic value through knowledge, considering the cognitive structures and the virtual, logistic and relational integrators that implement the networks of knowledge production and propagation in the contemporary economy. Part of the course will focus on the role of human capital in modern growth and development dynamics.

At the end of the course the student will purchase the tools for:
- understand the complex phenomena of the development processes of knowledge-based economies;
- critically evaluate the reasons that justify the different development policies implemented by public decision makers.

At the end of the course students will be able to apply the acquired knowledge to analyze the problems of information and knowledge and their influence on the functioning of the economy.

Students will be able to present the knowledge acquired with adequate language and methodological rigor.
