Contents This course is a part of a general wider course that aims to illustrate the applications of psychoanalitic model to different istitutional works..
Specifically prof Candelori will focus on the role of clinical psychologist in the Hospital, describing his work in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, in Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics and in Pediatric Oncohematology Day Hospital.
Prof. De Angelis will focus
on the characteristics and on the role of the "Analytical Psychodrama" , considering its use in Therapeutic Communities.
Prof. Portanova will focus on the role of clinical psychologist in the area of the School.
Prof. Quintiliani will focus on the role of clinical psychologist in the Therapeutic Community, structure characterized by participative, group-based approach to mental illness: psychosis and personality disorders.
Extended Syllabus -Preterm birth as a traumatic event that involves infant and parents. The work of clinical psychologist with mothers, fathers and staff. The role of the observation and of the interview.
- Motherood at risk: how clinical psychologist can study and support women hospitalized for pregnancy problems, waiting for the birth of the child.
- The experience of illness in children and adolescents. How to provide a "psychological service", giving attention to emotional aspects that are often neglected, focusing only on the patient's sick body and not on his psychic health.

The Henderson Hospital as a psychosocial model. The community life in the Cassel Hospital of T.F.Main. The new welfare state of the sixties. The antipsychiatry and the Kingsley Hall experience. Similarities and differentiations of the models. The welfare crisis.

Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
The examen will be constituted by the evaluation of a written paper about the specifical thems of the course.
The examen will be evaluated on a score range from 18 to 30.
