Educational objectives of the module
The module aims to offer an extensive review of studies and research on the relationship between politics and
society in the light of the transformations that have taken place in contemporary society.

2. The state, power, authority: state and society; power; authority and legitimacy; the distribution of
power.
3. Political behavior and society: political socialization; political participation; the
political recruitment.
4. Political communication, public opinion and ideology.
5. The regimes of our time: totalitarianism; authoritarianism; democracy.
