General part: characteristics of the interview and related types; basic elements concerning the psychologist, the setting, the transference, the countertransference and the non-verbal communication. A large space will be given to the use of clinical observation. The "constituent moments" of the clinical interview and its aims will also be illustrated.
Specific part: In the second part of the course the clinical experience of the first interview will be presented in the various ages of the life cycle. Specific clinical cases will be discussed, covering topics such as adoptive parenting, the abused child, the adolescent with eating disorders, the adult with panic attack, the elderly.
