Contents Understanding the evolution of health and disease concepts.
Discovering the fundamental needs of the person, according to a theoretical framework. Understanding the professional profile of the nurse (D.M. 739/94), Act n. 42/99, Act n. 251/00, Act n.43/06.
Discovering deontological and ethical elements. Knowing the Deontological Code of the nurse, the origins and the actual role of professional Associationism, the role of the Order of Nursing Professions and of the National federation of Nursing professions.

Students are required to develop knowledge on all the mentioned topics, even if they are not included in the educational glossary. Finally, students must be aware of the use of photocopies of the educational material (presumed copies of the lessons) sold by some typing office.
Teaching Methods The course will be conducted through frontal interactive lessons with the help of educational material in Power Point format, for a total of 15 hours.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
The assessment of learned concepts consists in an oral exam. The marking scheme is in thirtieths, the exam will be passed if the grade is equal or superior to 18/30. Working students will be advantaged. Exams timetables advertisement is guaranteed within the final grade of the examination
The marking scheme will take in consideration the following indicators: content:

The final grade will derive from the mean between the written and oral examination.
In order to pass the exam, students have to meet the minimum of 18/30.
