It is mandatory that students have passed the exams related to the indicated courses: Corso Integrato di Scienze infermieristiche in area medica e chirurgica e il Corso Integrato di Scienze Infermieristiche in Medicina Specialistica e Integrata. In addition, knowledge of the gross and microscopic pathology and of the main principles of physiology is required.
Objectives
Contents Knowledge of the pathologic basis of disease in different organs. Knowledge of cellular and tissue lesions and of their evolution.
Knowledge of the role of pathology and cytology in related with clinical decisions. Recognition of the appropriateness of histochemical, immune-histochemical and molecular biology techniques to perform a differential diagnoses. Knowledge of the major classification systems. In case of oncological pathology, knowledge of the main grading and staging schemes i to interpret pathological reports correctly.

- Il Servizio di Anatomia Patologica: citologia esfoliativa con metodo tradizionale e su strato sottile, citologia dei versamenti, agoaspirazione.
- Il Servizio di Anatomia Patologica: la microscopia elettronica nella diagnostica oncologica, biologia molecolare applicata a cellule o a tessuti nella diagnostica anatomo-patologica dei tumori

Teaching Methods Interactive lectures (15 hours) performed utilizing images from Power Point files will be integrated by the students with the study of the teacher’s note and handouts and other educational training material
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
B4 test is a written exam comprising all 4 disciplines of the integrated course. The exam consists of 60 questions. (15 questions/discipline, with multiple choices and 1 correct answer, each correct answer corresponding to 2 points). Students pass the exam when a minimum of 9 correct answers for each discipline is provided
