Contents - Knowledge of the constituent elements of the musculoskeletal system - Understanding the functioning of the musculoskeletal system: normal conditions and conditions of adaptation - Biomechanics concepts: posture, movement and mobilization, walking - Assistance to people with mobilization problems and assistance interventions - Care interventions for patients undergoing orthopedic operations
Extended Syllabus Review of anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal system: bone tissue; the muscles; the tendons; the ligaments; the joints; effects of aging Symptoms and diagnosis of musculoskeletal diseases: pain; inflammation; muscle weakness; joint stiffness; joint noises; physical examination; laboratory tests; neurological tests; bone scan; arthrocentesis; arthroscopy; biopsy Fractures: foot, leg, hip, pelvis, spine, shoulder, upper limb, hand Bone tumors: benign and malignant Infections of bones and joints: osteomyelitis, infectious arthritis NURSING Nursing to patient with orthopedic problems Patient management with prosthesis or orthosis .
