Objectives
Contents Recognize the elements characterizing the evolution of nursing research. Identify problems from which it is possible to formulate research questions taking inspiration from one's own work experience and/or from open problems in the nursing disciplinary field. Know the stages of the research process and identify research designs in national and international literature. Prepare a structured and coherent research project by developing the literature review more extensively. Research, select and evaluate results of interest to nursing and midwifery sciences, in order to use and disseminate them in clinical and professional settings. Place the "Evidence phenomenon" in the cultural development of health professions, distinguishing it from the research process
Extended Syllabus Research into the regulatory references of the nursing profession. Research training levels. Research, nursing research and research methodology. The research process: a) from problem identification to question/hypothesis; b) the literature review: clarifications on terminology (Literature Review and Systematic Review), purposes, structure and drafting; c) presentation of the main quantitative and qualitative research designs and selection in accordance with the aims and objectives of the study; d) sampling techniques and data collection tools, overview of the use of the questionnaire, observation and interviews. The concepts of reliability and validity. The “Evidence phenomenon”. Ethical issues related to nursing research and research.
