Objectives
Contents Today, organizations are characterized by the need to manage change. Since the late 1970s, m&a, downsizing, layoff, etc. become part of the common language of an organization.
Today we are observing the need - for organizations - to manage change, through learning "new ways of doing things" (Schein, 2000): from the reduction in hierarchical levels to the growing need to work in a team and to increasingly master soft skills.
This opens important scenarios for the social and work psychologist, called to manage training and empowerment processes within organizational contexts.
Training in organizations - through planned organizational interventions that operate on knowledge, skills and behaviors - has as its ultimate goal the improvement of performance. Therefore, the explicit purpose of training in organizations is to allow workers to master knowledge, skills and behaviors and apply them in daily work (Fraccaroli, 2011).
The course aims to provide participants elements to design training interventions within organizational contexts, in the light of the most recent evidence in the field of training (e.g., digital social learning, reverse mentoring, design thinking, etc.).
Extended Syllabus In detail, the course program includes the discussion of the following topics:
1. The analysis of the needs
2. The planning of the training intervention
3. Evaluate the training intervention
4. The learning spaces
5. Training methods: Business Model, Lego® Serious Play®, Blue Ocean Strategy, Complexity Theory, Creative Thinking, Art of Hosting.
6. The experiential training
7. Unleashing the potential of collaborators through empowerment
8. Approaching innovation, profound change and leadership through Theory U, Learning Organizations and Design Thinking
9. Digital social learning
10. Talents and Millennials
11. Training for professionals
12. The group nature of the company: The team as a methodological characteristic of training
13. Develop empowerment through job crafting
14. Mindfulness in working life: between well-being and awareness
15. Reverse mentoring for inclusion
16. Design thinking and the culture of innovation

Methods of Provision
Teaching Methods Lectures. Simulations. Exercises. Discussions. Project works. Cases and testimonials of relevant business realities.
The Teaching is structured in 48 hours of frontal teaching, divided into lessons of 2 and 3 hours, twice a week, according to the academic calendar. Attendance is optional, but it is strongly recommended to attend the course.
During the course, 16 hours of practical guided exercises (EPG) are also planned to consolidate the theoretical knowledge acquired. Attendance is not compulsory, however, given the added value of active experience for a solid internalization of the topics covered, it is suggested that the course be attended.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
Type of exam:
Written and oral
Learning assessment procedures:
The exam will focus on the teaching program carried out by the teacher in the classroom and on the topics of the texts treated during the lessons.
The exam consists of three parts.
The first part – that will be held in the middle of the course – will consist of a multiple choice test, with some open-ended questions.
The second part will take place on the date established by the teaching secretariat and will be oral.
The third part of the exam involves the creation of a group work as a Guided Practical Experience (EPG), to be presented during the course.
Each of the three parts will be evaluated in 10/30.
The final mark, in thirtieths, will be calculated by adding the scores obtained in the three parts.
The evaluation criteria will be: theoretical knowledge, critical thinking and originality and appropriateness of the project carried out during the practical exercises.
Students who have not attended the practical exercises are invited to study an additional textbook (Castagna, M. (2016). L'analisi delle esigenze: dal fabbisogno all'intervento formativo)
