Objectives
Contents The educational objective of the course is to develop the observation skills: in the activities of daily life and to stimulate the understanding of the rehabilitation context, of the roles within the team and of the administrative path in the field of occupational therapy.
Extended Syllabus Data collection relating to: the person, body structures and functions, activities and environmental factors, using validated tools, where existing; basic skills of the therapeutic relationship of care, with reference to the technical, emotional, feelings and values components simple occupational therapy activities, mobilization and transfer in safe and ergonomic conditions.
Reasoning: People's health needs and the strategies implemented to meet them; the general state of health of the person; activity and participation, environment, body structures and functions.
Variability and complexity of occupational performance during aging, with reference to functional, expressive, gestural and cognitive value; space-time organization; kinesiological and ergonomic aspects.
The essential constitutive aspects of rehabilitation activities; proposals of simple therapeutic activities aimed at modifying altered conditions.
Relationship: The elements and characteristics of the relationship, in particular that of care, observing, experimenting and defining: context (clinic, nursing home, home, hospital ...); actors (patient, family, occupational therapists, other professionals, student); roles (carer, patient, trainee, trainee guide, tutor, caregiver); relational modalities and style of communication; emotions of oneself and of others.
Responsibility: The responsibility of the occupational therapist in relation to the patient, the social context of reference, other operators, institutions; the ethical values of the centrality of the person, the protection of health and the care relationship in contexts of professional experience and the consequent responsible behavior.
Research: Detection of concordant and discordant elements with respect to expectations and knowledge; problematic aspects of the experience; problems and explanatory hypotheses; search for elements that support or deny the hypothesis identified.

Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
The verification of learning consists of an oral interview aimed at assessing the knowledge of the main topics discussed during the lessons. Will be also evaluated the ability to refer to experimental evidence in support of the arguments and the ability to organize the speech in a clear, effective, critical way, using appropriate scientific language. Results will get 30/30 points at maximum.
