Concept to measurement and error of a measurement.
Measuring instruments (static and dynamic features)
Biomedical instrumentation. Sensors, operational amplifier, and filters.
Basic concept of analogic signals. Fourier analysis.
Digital signal. The sampling of the analogue signal. A/D conversion. Nyquist theorem and sampling.
Nature and presentation of the Biomedical signals. Examples of biomedical signals: EEG, EMG, ECG.
Notes on safety and risk in the use of biomedical equipment.

Teaching Methods The course includes 60 hours of frontal teaching, divided into lessons of 2 hours depending on the academic calendar. The frontal teaching consists of theoretical lessons and practical application
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
The verification of student’s knowledge consists of a written test with multiple choice answer options related to the entire program with a possible subsequent oral integration. The total scores (30) will be divided according to the questions presented in the examination. The final score is given by the sum of correct scores to the individual questions. The duration of the written test is about 60 minutes (for the entire integrated course).
