Objectives
Contents The course is focused on the examination of the main private institutions, with
particular regard to the function of the same and to the analysis of the meaning
that the regulatory provisions governing them assume considering the overall system and the values that characterize it.
In line with the educational objectives of the degree course, special emphasis is given to the
themes of obligations and contracts.
Extended Syllabus The course programme will mainly focus on the following institutions: the norm and the legal system. Sources of law (national, Community and international) and the interpretation of the norm. Subjective juridical situations and legal relationship. Legal facts. The subjects. Personality rights. Property and rights in rem. Possession. Successions and gifts inter vivos. Structure and events of obligations. The typical species of obligations. Sources of obligations: non-contractual sources. In particular: Unlawful acts. The contract in general. The protection of rights. Advertising and transcription. The family. With regard to individual contracts, the examination will focus on the main figures of the sale, lease, procurement, mandate, deposit, loan, surety, factoring, leasing and transaction. The parts concerning debt securities, business and companies, bankruptcy and other insolvency procedures, the employment relationship can be studied in the general principles.

Teaching Methods The teaching is structured in 72 hours of frontal teaching. In addition to the frontal teaching, seminars and workshops can be organized.
Course attendance is optional and recommended.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
Consistent with the learning objectives and the expected learning outcomes as well as with the teaching methods adopted, the exam consists, at the end of the lessons and seminars, in a final oral exam consisting of 3-5 questions aimed at verifying the ability of systematic framing, the property of language, the ability to link between institutions, the clarity of exposure regarding the program to be taken to the exam. The final grade goes from 1 to 30 with honours (cum laude), according to the following modalities: 1-17, insufficient; 18-21, sufficient; 22-24, fair; 25-27, good; 28-29, very good; 30-30 with honours (cum laude), excellent.
Intermediate exam can also be programmed (however it is not mandatory and is reserved only for attending students).
