Objectives

This course aims to enrich the student's preparation in the field of nutrition science with adequate knowledge on the important oxidative stress-disease dualism. Oxidative stress triggered by specific micro and macronutrients consumed in unbalanced quantities inexorably trigger inflammatory processes that are crucial in the development of numerous pathologies.

Contents

The course aims to make the student understand how a balanced diet integrated with a series of antioxidant nutrients can promote the redox state of the body and reduce the risk of pathologies and cell degeneration.

In the oral test, questions relating to the program carried out to ascertain knowledge, the logic followed by the student in solving the questions and the adequacy of the language will be formulated.
