The course aims to illustrate, within the psychoanalytic theoretical framework, the characteristics of the clinical interview in reference to the experience of consultation and diagnostic exploration with children, adolescents and adults. In particular, the several possible interview models will be analysed, essentially referring to the first assessment interview and to the diagnostic process. The interview will also be considered as a possible tool for psychological research. During the lessons some clinical cases will be presented and discussed. Finally, the main psychopathological disorders will be examined (e.g., narcissistic personality, obsessive-compulsive disorder, etc.).
