Students are expected to possess a level of competence in English corresponding to the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference.
Objectives Contents General English, ESP (English for Psychology). Grammatical and syntactic structures, lexical and stylistic elements, communicative functions.
Extended Syllabus Main grammatical structures (verb tenses; modals; passive forms; relative clauses; conditionals; reported speech). Vocabulary and reading comprehension (key thematic areas): morality; bullying and cyberbullying; cognitive biases; Cognitive Linguistics: main areas; emotions (positive and negative); personality (positive and negative adjectives); personal strengths and weaknesses; neurological disorders; discrimination.

Methods of Provision Teaching Methods Classroom teaching. The lessons will include reading activities and guided text analyses. A wide variety of texts will be considered, focusing mainly on the languages of psychology. Students will practice grammar structures and vocabulary, while improving their listening skills.

Students need to pass a written test including grammar exercises, vocabulary questions, and reading comprehension.
