In line with the educational objectives of the Degree Course and by the knowledge previously acquired on the most recent developments in the theoretical and practical debate on translation, the following educational objectives are defined:
RESULTS OF EXPECTED LEARNING
1. Knowledge and understanding.
• Proficiency in the use of the French language in its four abilities (comprehension / expression, written / oral) at level C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: through analysis and translation practice the phonetic, morphological aspects will be examined in depth. syntactic, lexical, and high-level pragmatics, awareness of the implicit, presence of idiomatic formulas, of proverbs, of expressions in argot and verlan, awareness of linguistic registers both of contemporary literary texts (prose) and of business communication texts , legal-economic texts.
2. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding.
The metalinguistic competence developed in the module allows to improve the conscious learning of linguistic competence.
The student must understand in a precise and detailed manner, taking into account implicit cultural aspects, long written texts, speeches and authentic interactions (radio, video, film) and produce texts adapted to the situations of use in writing and oral. He must be able to read orally and speak fluently and with little accent.
3. Judgment autonomy.
The student must be able to analyze, interpret, translate and / or summarize complex texts in a personal and effective way in a foreign language.
4. Communication skills.
• They are located at level C2 of the Common European Framework for Languages on the 4 Skills (easily including practically everything they hear and read. They can summarize information from different sources, both spoken and written, restructuring the topics in a coherent presentation. Sa express themselves spontaneously, in a very smooth and precise way, identifying the most subtle nuances of meaning in complex situations).
The student must be able to express himself / herself clearly and structured on a variety of topics.
The ability to mediate is developed through the translation from Italian to the French.
5. Learning skills.
The student must possess the skills to manage his own learning: knowing how to understand academic texts and knowing how to account for them in a written reading sheet in order to prepare for the writing of the essay, knowing how to take notes during a listening session, knowing how to choose sources and written or computer tools suitable for the purpose.
